Our Current Wish List
A new Trailer for the Sieann (20’ stem to stern)
An emergency electric motor for the Sieann (80 - 100 lbs thrust)
Wood in any size and shape including full logs. Yellow Cedar, Pine, Fir and White Oak preferred. Reclaimed and ethically sourced wood encouraged!
Towing Vehicles. Tow-capable diesel trucks preferred.
Museum Exhibits
We are always seeking new exhibits for our museum. Any Viking-age artifacts and recreations that help us improve our museum experience will be considered. These items can be donated or loaned to our museum.
We're looking for items that relate to, or were found on ships including, but not excluded to:
Ship building tools found with Filungar in their graves, in the Mästermyr box and/ or on the Bayeux Tapestry.
Nautical accessories like carved paddles for early canoes and ship parts.
Travel sized games like hnefatafl boards, nitavl boards and dice.
Export items like glass and amber beads, furs, and antlers.
Import items from other Baltic, Rus and European countries from the same time period.
Historically accurate longship models and art
Vikings voyaged all the way from Scandinavia to Romania in the east, the Mediterranean in the south and North America in the west. So as long as your item matches the time period that Vikings were present in the area, it will be included.
Consignment
If you make a model or recreate an artifact that we are looking for, and want to sell it, we will do so on consignment from our gift shop and will include information about the artist, including your own business cards. We do not resell items made by a third party, please be prepared to provide proof that you are the artist.
