Run by our good friend and master meadmaker Jon Oppegaard, a long time friend of the PNW Viking reenactor community and Sea Wolf Voyages first Official Meadmaker!
Our first mead made by Jon that bears our logo: Sigrblót!
Inspired by Viking mead halls, this rustic, old-world tavern serves Nordic fare, meads & aquavits.
Skål (meaning “cheers”) invokes the spirit of a Viking meadhall - it’s warm, welcoming, & often raucous! Here you’ll find a rotating lineup of craft beer, a vast selection of mead, & a cocktail program highlighting the Scandinavian spirit, aquavit. Our Nordic inspired kitchen explores the flavors of the sea, woods, and farm with plates designed to pair with your drink. Plan a group celebration and be treated like a Jarl with one of our Viking feasts or attend one of our unique classes or events. Help us carry on the Nordic tradition in Ballard by coming for a visit!
Where the idea of our RAIDS was first developed!
Skål is home to Think & Drink where memebers of the Viking reenactment community, including the Northwest Viking Alliance and The Glamfolk, give talks on Viking age life, mythology and many other Viking related topics!
The nautical version of this is Sips & Ships, similar talks that are all about Viking ships, navigation and more!!
Award winning botanically infused meads produced on South Whidbey Island.
The Hierophant is generally described as "one who reveals/shows what is sacred or holy." We believe that the honey bee should be revered as such, as the declining population of honey bees and wild pollinators most certainly reveal to us that change is needed in the way things are done in our food system.
We therefore depicted the honey bee as the Hierophant by adding a kabbalistic tree of life in our logo representation. This tree of life symbol is associated with the Hierophant.
Our good friends at Hierophant, purveyors of beautifully handcrafted meads for the mind, body and soul are exceptional hosts and are worth the ferry ride to visit for a tasting, farmers market, or just an afternoon sipping mead!

When we sell items,10% of our profits goes to the chosen charity.
Our hosts need only to help set date and time, run their business as usual on a busy day, and coordinate with Sea Wolf Voyages on the charity donation and prizes for contest winners (gift cards to you own establishment are a great idea!)
